NIA Breaks Up Transnational Conspiracy Targeting Manipur Unrest

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made two critical arrests in a case involving a global plot to take advantage of the ongoing ethnic turmoil in Manipur, which is a significant development. Seiminlun Gangte and Moirangthem Anand Singh’s detention has revealed a detailed plan that was put together by leaders of terrorist groups with bases in Bangladesh and Myanmar.

This case, which the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in New Delhi first reported on July 19, 2023, has been gradually coming to light, revealing a cunning plan to wage war against India by using ethnic tensions in Manipur. These arrests are the outcome of a coordinated effort between the NIA and the Manipur Police, emphasizing the cooperative strategy used to handle this urgent problem.

Gangte was apprehended by the Manipur Police at Churachandpur and afterwards turned over to the NIA. The investigation has been given more detail as a result of Moirangthem Anand Singh’s capture on September 22.

The investigation is still underway, but it has come to light that certain terrorist commanders in India colluded with militant organizations from Bangladesh and Myanmar. Their main goal is to instigate conflict amongst various ethnic groups with the intention of eventually declaring war on the Indian government.

The plotting leadership has used money to buy weapons, ammo, and all forms of terrorist equipment in order to further their evil goals. With the overall objective of escalating ethnic tensions in Manipur, these resources are being drawn from both across the border and from other active terrorist organizations in the northeastern states.

The NIA, along with other pertinent authorities, is dedicated to learning the entire scope of this global plot and prosecuting those responsible as the investigation develops. These arrests represent significant steps toward tackling this crucial issue because the ethnic conflict in Manipur has forced numerous people to flee their homes and tragically resulted in fatalities.
